About Campus Clubs
There are many active athletic, departmental, and social clubs at Brandon University. In addition to working within their own faculties and towards their own causes, many clubs organize special events and socials. Clubs and club events are great ways to meet people and to get involved in activities that interest you.
Club summits and workshops are held throughout the year to foster communication between campus clubs and BUSU. As part of these sessions, clubs will be taught how to apply for funding from BUSU and how to book, organize, and advertise successful events in SUDS and other campus spaces.
Whether it be joining an existing club or starting a new one to suit your own interests, BUSU can provide you with the support needed to join and run successful clubs.
Contact the BUSU Vice President External at 727-9692 or stop by the BUSU office for information and materials relevant to the club you want to join or start.
Club Funding Opportunities
New and existing recognized student groups are eligible to receive funding from BUSU. Funding received from BUSU can be used in order to help conduct meetings, socials, conferences, events, special activities or projects deemed beneficial to the community, student body, or university life. All clubs seeking funding must submit their most recent constitution to be reviewed and approved by the BUSU Student Group Promotion and Affairs Committee (SGPAC).
Qualifying applications will be reviewed and approved by the BUSU Student Group Promotion and Affairs Committee. Forms are available at the BUSU office or online at www.busu.ca.
Contact the BUSU Vice President External at 727-9660 for more information about club funding opportunities.
To ensure that you have correctly followed the procedures associated with funding, refer to the Students' Union by-law on Club Funding, available in the BUSU office or online at www.busu.ca.
