Located on the third floor of the Knowles-Douglas Student Union Building, the BUSU Food Bank is a confidential service available to all Brandon University students. Operated by BUSU employees and volunteers, while being sustained through donations and BUSU financing, the Food Bank has been running for almost 20 years and continues to grow to better meet the needs of students. The Food Bank distributes well-rounded hampers as meal supplements to assist all students. The hampers consist of all four food groups as outlined in the Canada Food Guide: non-perishable food items, a choice of milk or eggs (students with dependent children receive both), and a bread item.

The BUSU food bank is open for hamper pick up on Fridays from 1:30pm-4:30pm (Fall/Winter Sessions) and Thursdays from 11:30-4:30 during the Spring/Summer session. It is possible for students to arrange different pick-up times if they are not available during the normal time. Stop by the BUSU office or call 204-727-9660 to set up an alternate pick up time.

To volunteer in the Food Bank, make a donation, or for more information, please contact the BUSU office: 204-727-9660 or foodbank@busu.ca

Donations are gratefully accepted and can be
dropped off at the BUSU office.
